Visiting the Northland Gliding Club

All Pilots and Visitors are Welcome

Visiting pilots with powered aircraft, please contact Paul Rockell before flying into the club air strip.

Glider pilots in the area are most welcome to drop by. But if you want to fly back out, it is best to make prior arrangements to ensure that a crew is there to help you.

Glider pilots within the club flying area who find themselves with less than 1,000 feet of altitude may consider landing on one the fields below the club hill air strip. If you find yourself in this awkward situation, rest assured that you will not be the first to land your glider in one of these fields.

In any case, be sure to watch out for cattle and other livestock on the air strip.
